Off topic - Bimota GT750
I apologize, I know this post is misplaced here, but I guess some might be interested in that project. Feel free to delete this post or put in another section.
I am currently building a replica of the legendary BIMOTA HB1, of which only 10 were built. It is one of my all-time favorites mainly due to the design.
Since I am a two-stroke enthusiast, it needed to be an appropriate engine, so I will put in a GT750 engine. The frame is a one-off replica of course, built to fit the engine.
This is the original:
Here is my project in actual state:

I really admire the way you approach projects and the quality of work that goes into them. I would love to hear a video of this running when complete.

We all would. I'm sure it will sound great, and terrifying. You could probably sell tickets and put it on pay-per-view.RuZty wrote: I would love to hear a video of this running when complete.

Wow. That is really awesome.
I love those water buffaloes.
And the sound of the triples making music is just fantastic.
I had one in my youth (kind of borrowed) for about three months.

Re: Off topic - Bimota GT750
Small progress yesterday. Decided for location of all electric components - Battery, Rectifier/regulator, Starter motor relay, indicator relay. There will be no sidepanels whatsoever, free view to these components.
Note: The battery is the "shell" (housing) of a conventional lead acid battery but I transplanted a powerful enough small LiFePo4 battery into it. Saves significant weight and is troublefree. I am using this battery technology already in a couple of other bikes, so far no problem.

Hi Wolfgang, what tube are you using for the frame?
If only there was more free time.
Re: Off topic - Bimota GT750
Hello RedBarron,
the frame was built to my specs from a guy in The Netherlands. It is made from ordinary steel, this project is on a budget.
