Thanks very much. I've thoroughly enjoyed it so far. The big test will be in the next few weeks when I try to get the thing set up to fire it for the first time in over 10 years. I'm also moving from the UK to Washington DC, so going to have to pack it up again. This will be the 4th continent the big will have travelled to.

Big celebration day today. Got the wiring loom on and all connected up. New battery in and turned the ignition on - a few tweaks like swapping the wiring over for the indicators (left turn and right one comes on), but everything works! Need to check I've got spark next - most important thing!

Got the radiator on this weekend and all the hoses connected up. Also got one set of carbs on. Realised I may need to take the radiator off again to tighten up the clips that hold the carbs in place (unless I have those really long tightening screws at the wrong angle.

These screws should be reachable from under the radiator.
You can also use a 7mm head pipe.

Almost finished my restoration project now.

Got a coolant leak from some where though. I think it's from the two small hoss that go either side the main inlet / outlet hoses at the front of the engine. The carb heat shield on the right side is pressing against it and allowing coolant to pass over the top of the hose. Any ideas?

Got the RZ500 fired up now. Resolved the coolant leak and the fuel overflow from the left lower carb. Just got to try to find out why the right side lower carb pours fuel out the overflow pipe (even when the bike isn't running). I tried the usual tapping of the bowl with a crew driver to free up the float. Any ideas from anyone?

See some photos of the colour returning to the bike. Nice to see something other than black.
