Aftermarket Dash's.

#1 Post by Jetjockey » Fri Jun 09, 2017 1:45 pm

Getting to the stage of wiring on the Yzr Replica. Been looking at Dash's to use. Looked at Digtal (Translogic/Aim etc) and also toying with Koso or Standard. Anyone got any thoughts or experiences with their modifications etc. (Hard/Easy to wire up, pics, vids) If anyone has any help to give I'd appreciate your time.
Cheers

Dave.

I used the Koso RX1N on the RZ350 and it's working just fine.
Wiring is doable for normal people who are not brain dead and can read and understand a wiring diagram.
Only issue was that there's two cables with the same color on the dash and you'll have to try & error to find the right one.

Concerning the settings I used 2C2P (2 cylinder , 2 piston) and impulse to "Hi" - that works for the black/yellow rpm signal on the stock CDI as well as with a Ignitech (purple extra cable).

Here's the according thread:

Thanks KPKE. Was this a good fit for the 500 loom? If you have anymore pics of the Koso from sat back I'd appreciate it. Was wanting to keep my Yzr with a "Traditional" gauge rather than a full on digital dash as I think it should be a round gauge with a needle. Looks good tho. Thanks. ??????

Hi Dave
If you prefer a tradional gauge check out speedhut gauges they can supply speedos, tachs, and temp gauges. The speedometers are GPS
