Hi I saw this forum.

Great to see that there are so many others, who like 2stoke races. I am from the Netherlands. I added some pictures of my project, but they are a little bit bad taken.

Maybe somebody can help me. I have a RS250 swingarm, but I can find a rear wheel that fits. I want to have 180 back tire, this must fit in the swingarm.

Next time I will add better pictures, or see my website at: http://www.tijger.org/bike/index.htm

Hello Gus,
welcome to the forum! I am building a YZR replica as well. So you bought the fairings from Enrique in Amsterdam?

I am using RS250 swingarm in my previous projectbike, with a 6.00" wheel from CBR900R and 180 tire. I had to machine the hub on both sides though to make it fit into the narrow swingarm.

Your frame looks like TZR250, so isn

I wanted toask uf your RS250m swingarm is not too short for that chassis - is that RGc250 or TZr250?

Hello Bash

I have an Aprilia swing arm on my project with the two wheels (6 " and 5.5") and I have finished to put the 5.5 on the bike even if the 6" will give a better look (500 GP look). My 5.5" rear wheel comes from a 98 TZ 250 and the 6" from an YZR 500cc. I also think it's the best chose for track practice.

Hi wolf, what about the clearance with the swinger in the rubber tyre area? What about the chain?

With a 6" whell you need a 180 (centimeters) tire and that touch the chain. For my bike.

Yes I have offset the chain by 3mm I believe, but this is not an issue created by the swingarm but rather the position of the front sprocket. The swingarm itself clears a 180 tire easily with enough margin left on both sides.

A SZR660 frame, that one is almost the same as a TZR250 frame. I have putt 320mm brembo's disks with 4 pistons per disk. USD front end. RS250 back-end. Self made spring/linkage system. VFR400RR tank, CBR900RR back wheel.

I try to do my best.....
