Mayhem was in my trailer

#1 Post by pstamper » Mon Jun 05, 2017 11:06 pm

This occurred on way back from track. Was tired but decided to go ahead and unload that nite so I could clean the bike Sunday. Tool box strap came loose. I smelled two stroke oil inside the trailer when I was dropping the door and thought it was unusual.
Well I spent a few hours fixing the fairing to get back to painter. The box hit the clutch lever and upper fairing and cracked the opposite side badly. Went ahead and fixed all the small cracks. This was the side just repaired from the accident at COTA in March with fuel line. Will need new Valvoline sticker made and touch up the blue. Bummer

Not nice, although it could have been worse probably. :???:

Let say it was a good opportunity to clean the truck inside !

When I saw the picture of the bike ready to go I was thinking - "I hope that tool box is bolted to the wall".

Hope you get all fixed with minimum of cost and frustrations.

I usually attach it to wall and had bottom tied down. Now I know I need a checklist for trailer. I think I turned a corner and all the tools went to front of drawer and that was it. Parts are at painter. $100 most likely and a new Valvoline decal. Might buy two. He is also going to do the YPVS and V4 stickers.
Hope you try to make COTA in a month.
