Tire Changer

#1 Post by ns86 » Wed May 02, 2018 11:29 am

Proud owner of a new to me No-Mar Classic tire changer. Has the accessories for ATV and Cruiser rims and does Car tires also. Now I can do my own tire changes, especially my Marchesini, Marvic and Momo rims. Handles 10" to 21" rims with up tp 4" offset for fat ATV tires or Belt drive sprockets etc. so very adaptable. Highly recommend this to all

After having a few service availability and pricing issues with my two local tire guys I bit the bullet and was close to buying one of these:

Luckily I found one of them used only 30 km from my place incl. a balancer for 175 Eur! As it was no shipping/pickup only, I was the first to show up and grab it :-)
That'll pay off in close over a year as I have around 5 tires a year to mount.

It was already used to mount the first two slicks on my race bike. Not 100% easy, but now I wish I had bought one much earlier ...
Bye
Martin

Built a "GP503 type" tire changer 10 years ago, cost was about 90€ for material and equipment.
Saved me a lot of money

I live an hour from a city so being able to do this myself saves money in gas as well, and a lot of time. Anything local is sure to damage alloy rims. It can even do Carbon rims. I had a basic cheap version which I adapted with my own version of Mojo Blocks. I got this No-Mar for a steal, $300! These cost over $1000 with the additional parts and shipping so I would never have got one that price! Used ones are rare, highly sought after, and sell for considerably more than I paid. Works amazing!
