Nice bike.

Just noticing the fit on that R1 tail and the upper exhaust pipes.

Not sure what year, but I've seen an R6 tail that fits a lot better.

Nice bike indeed. We spoke when he first got that bike. He got it for a steal. Looks like he's going to do quite well $$$$$.

Agreed Smoker. The R1 tail does not quite go right.

$17,000 is now the going price for a modded RZ500?

The reality is all the R6 pieces cost LESS that trying to source comparable condition original RZ500 pieces, so other than the "conversion factor" where is the value of the $17,000 asking price?

Is it because it is titled? A reasonably tasteful R6 make over? Pristine 100% fresh engine?

Surprised he was taking the video and pictures in the middle of the road if its worth that much.

In the UK it would have been hit by something within a couple of minutes!

Nice bike though.

2 1/2 minutes into video before starting, and that music like he's trying to get emmy for production. Very nice bike, surprised he is offering test rides so freely must be getting a lot people who could not possibly pay for it showing up.

I am still struggling to understand the price.

I don't mind the idea of $20K+ hybrid RZ's as I may want to sell one of mine some day if they ever get finished - but this running gear is ordinary R1/R6, which are literally "cheap as chips". So while the parts may work well, they really don't add up to the value of a pristine stock bike (in my mind at least).

So are the steel frame, RZ engine and tank the core value? The labor of the build?

Just a bit confused by market movements :)
