That one has been for sale for a long time. Always good interest, but silly money.

Seller says that price is only to attract attention. Apparently he has no concept of attracting attention for the wrong reason. Hard to take someone like that seriously.

His 1992 Bimota Tesi 1D-904SR was priced the same way with the same stupid explanation http://www.ebay.com/itm/152679458527?rmvSB=true

It is only worth what people will pay and the people have spoken. You would think that after so many attempts to sell it, and each ending in failure, they would get the message that it is overpriced.

The seller has a feedback score of 9 and only 1 of those is a sale and it was less than $650 and more than a year ago. Not exactly stellar credentials when demanding big money for the RG.

Hes a pretty decent Guy John, He has 7 RG500s, a bunch of RZ350s, stock and hybrids, RZ/RZV500s etc, Bimotas. I bought a bunch of parts from him, Top guy, He also runs the RZ500 Australia Facebook page, RG500 page, RZ350 page and the 2-stroke hybrid pages.

I'm not questioning his integrity Paul, I'm just commenting that his low feedback score and high expectations aren't helping him. The bike has been featured at RSBFS several times. It has been on and off of eBay for months. Is the pre-production label holding it back? Having a VIN that most buyers find questionable and don't understand, not to mention parts not on the production bike? Maybe it is just overpriced. If the new bike sold last week (see below) is the benchmark, this Aus bike is demanding a very serious premium for the pre-production status. I fail to see how pre-production means any premium is required, but that's just me. Given the choice I would have bought the same bike Schwantz did.

This new RG500 sold last week after the price was dropped to $35K ($43K Aus). Bought by Kevin Schwantz, but no price mentioned. I'm guessing less than $35K. http://www.ebay.com/itm/152635509075?rmvSB=trueafter

I think it is overpriced to be honest, The bidding ended at 65k and didn't meet reserve!! Thats a bit crazy to be honest...

I seen the Swantz purchase, Hmm, I wonder will he put a set of pipes on it.. :P
