BLA BLA BLA BST wheel practice at COTA

#1 Post by rz500guytexas » Wed Aug 28, 2019 10:24 pm

Was interesting with the BST wheels. Took Saturday to get feel but with 102 degree air temp and super hot track was a guessing game. Front end rising entering slow corners so added a click of rebound. Still had chatter on braking but compression should help. Turning bike was effortless. Acceleration was way better on corner exit. Worked on brake markers the entire weekend but again with track temp I was not going to push it as video shows. I should of adjusted brake lever out as day went on. Started at 50 meters later on braking but still coasting. All in all was a fun weekend regardless of heat, but it was brutal. Tons of water, coconut water, and supplements. Hip did not cramp but had massage Friday afternoon and both nites after getting off track. She did massage with cupping technique, it worked. Trying to get therapist to work at track events. Oh and new baby girl came back with me. Managed 3 seconds better on a lap with all the traffic at a 2:47. Less heat will be better. And as always flawless performance thanks to Mr Rick who hope was watching over us all.

"brutal'
uh, yeah. my brain and body don't work well past 88, just can't dissipate the heat quick enough anymore.
be careful, too easy to make mistakes when you overheat.
"effortless" - good to hear

Great video Paul. I will have to finish later as I best be getting back to work.

It always amazes me how consistently great that bike runs. :smt007
