TZ 250 shakedown

#1 Post by rz500guytexas » Thu Apr 08, 2021 11:07 am

This is Little Tally race track before first AHRMA race. Very short track with one right and an agressive surface. https://talladegagp.com/ Weather was 30 degrees in the morning so waited to later in day when sun was up. Lot of people on a short track. I was working with an instructor who is on the green Kawasaki. I asked for his help on turn in points and brake points because we are holding a race there before Barber. After session he advanced me and said AHRMA will be fine. After session was done he said just take the corners as he did in our group but i was hesitant on a new track. Video was bad for some reason with possible condensation on the lens. Bike did fine on Saturday but had a slight miss on Sunday that eventually reulted with a crash at Carolina Motorsports Park in the mock race caused by an engine issue. https://carolinamotorsportspark.com/ This was a 4 week, 2,600 mile road trip. First real trip since retirement. Will do a short write up on the first race with AHRMA
