Still no bids as of this morning. I always take issue with advertising a bike as a "restoration" when it's been modified. I've always considered a restoration to be putting the bike to factory stock condition. I guess in this case the buyer means it's been restored to the condition to which Lance modified it. I think that the older and rarer these bikes become, the more value will be placed on stock condition. Which isn't to say I don't lust after this particular bike!

The Rick Lance modifications might increase value considering he was the godfather of RG500 performance.
With his passing, any of the bikes personally massaged by him might see their value tick up.
I'm no appraisal expert, but it may be akin to something like a Yenko Camaro. A factory car modified by a highly respected builder who is no longer with us.

Very similar to new member 2strklvr's newly acquired Lance Gamma. As discussed in his thread, the value does not seem to be negatively impacted. This example recently sold from Ricks Estate, RIP

Agreed. The point I was trying to make is that the bike is not "restored", at least not the way I understand the word.

So Speedwerks purchased the bike from Rick's family and then just flipped it for a quick profit? Boooo.... I thought they were just selling the bikes to his friends or customers?

Nice to see Rick remembered. Was recent anniversary of his passing I believe. All of Rick bikes were well sorted and his get togethers was great to see everyone together. Miss him always. Few pics when he worked on my old RZ.

Good to hear you got it back Sharath. I know how much that one means to you.
