Inflation or inflated prices?

#1 Post by 2manyprjx » Sat Dec 10, 2022 2:25 am

I know this a rare part but c'mon. I hope this isn't anyone on this forum. Does this seller actually think someone is going to pay that? What's the point?

His stock market accounts are in the dumps. Ridiculous. I will keep this short but can be a long discussion with many. Our group is small and getting smaller. Those with kids see no value in these bikes or parts. It will be a burden on them when we pass. I know so many of us with tons of parts that will never be used and just collect dust. The value of these parts and bikes will always be erratic. I personally have a few bikes but they are all I want and also take the time for upkeep. The race bike I enjoy working on. But I think back when Rick Lance passed away and those that I thought were some of his close friends tried to buy things for pennies. Some bought at a fair price and saw the value in his work and still enjoy using the bike they bought. The rest, into a shipping container and shipped overseas. Our market will always be all over the place and when pricing like this occurs our minds see piles of gold in our garages. I just know all my bikes will not lose value unlike most diesels out there.

You could buy that stupidly-overpriced item, or you could get in contact with this guy, and he'll 3D print you one for a fraction of the cost...
