Hi Smoker,
I am not quite sure if your attention of this thread was to post any custom bikes or just get more details on the 2 bikes - the RD500 is one of the most beautiful RD500 project bikes I have ever seen, the bodywork fits perfectly. Looks much better than my MARLBORO bike.
Sorry if I have hijacked your thread with my pictures

Nice looking YZR rep that top one.

I would be interested to see if he widened the lower to get it to fit as high up the frame. I just widened mine with a split down the front rather than split the lower in half and splice in an extra piece.

But I may go ahead and widen my lower fairing a bit more to bring he foot cutouts closer to the rear sets.

And I wonder if that swing arm is an R1 unit or a TZR250 3MA SP swinger just fitted upside down.

Are the wheels YZR R1/R6 or maybe later FZR?

Any photos of your bikes are welcome in my threads.

You are definitely one of the world's best motorcycle fabricators.

Lovely those R6 / RZ500 conversions! I still have a spare RZ500 engine in my garage, tuned by Andy Jones from ATR...I may build such R6 bike one day.
I am afraid I need to get 110 years old to complete all my open plans and dreams. . .and win the lottery as well.

Maybe it does not really fit to the other clean polished bikes here...
It`s the bike of a friend. We started this motorcycle stuff together in his garage for some years until we splitted everything up.
Initially it was a XTZ750 - Fuel Tank, swing arm and the frame are standard or close to standard. Not to forget, the indicators :smt005
Engine has also "slightly" more power and he knows how to use this 260kg beast (also off road)

I could look at the bikes in this thread all day long.....in fact, considering its cold and rainy and I am not in the shape to hit the tools, I will do just that!

Hi Wolfgang,

Your GT750 project looks superb.

The KR YZR looks a superb special - really love it - however it is definitely NOT better looking than your Marlboro YZR - it is just different. One thing is certain - the quality of the KR could not exceed your Marlboro YZR - it could only equal it - but only a close up look would tell us.

Lets hope the builder of the KR is on this forum and he shows us the details and build of his bike - lovely to see something new and different.

Cheers
Paul
