I think green gullible buyers are being sucked in by these auctions.
Or it was a shill bid & sale.

They have a 1988 Honda RS250R like mine going on the block Friday with an expected $25,000+ price. It is supposedly newver raced and great condition - complete with crunched exhaust. Mine is in a better codition and running with a seasons worth of spares.

Further they list it as 1 of 2 that was ever imported and raced in Europe. What a load of tripe - but someone will be suckered in.

If that one sells for $25K then mine with 3 unobtanium new cranks, extra cylinders, pistons and all consumables on hand must be worth $35K.

Yet a great little 1985 TZ250 sold for $7800. Go figure.

No, no logical reason at all. It seems the buyer is a Chinese woman and the purchases where for the type of bike.

Expect the RC30/RC45 matching VIN# pair to fetch $220K+ tomorrow.
