I had 2 500 and 2 350 units modded by him And all 4 work great. Curves are easily changed using the dip switches.

Had a Honda PGM 2 RC circuit repair and de-restriction mod done. He's an asset to the community. I will be sending one of my YPVS units for adjustment mod also.

i sent a unit to be modified by him, it lasted about 15 minutes then stopped working, he told me to return it at my expense which i did, when i got it back still wasn't working, i told him but he insisted he had tested it and it was okay, i put a standard unit on and all was well, i would never use him again thats for sure, think your better off using a Zeeltronic set up which i now use which has made a big difference, i am running a Rd 500 bottom end and 350 ypvs heads and barrels using the standard stroke 50mm making 654cc, wondered if any other members have a similar set up

Sounds like an obvious mod but I've not heard of it before. Does it run well?

Yeah, soldering on the backside of a 20+ yo PCB can have it's culprits.
I also managed to destroy PV controllers. My suspect is that the main IC didn't like punctual extended heat.
(for those interested: Here's what they modify
http://l3s9113.zeus09.de/RD350/Manual_P ... cation.pdf )

My advice regarding this issue is anyway a complete ignition/PV controller because it removees 3 of the most common sources of trouble (stator, PV controller, CDI) AND adds performance in the same region than some decent pipes but at a fraction of the costs for all mentioned parts.
Bye

+1 for Nick.
I use a modded one repaired by him some 10 years ago and very happy with it.
He also makes some nice leak test kits very useful ( not to say mandatory ).

"Making 654cc, wondering "
I'm wondering if its character remains essentially the same, just more .... attitude.
Or if its become more of a torquer.
125 done to 144 dirt bikes seem to be the former, but even my beta 200, bore and stroke altered, is still fairly zippy.
Custom pipes or ?
