I do have a sense of humor since Tom fortune prohibited me form saying the meaning of BT.

I like my BLT without the L, so I order a BT. Seriously.

Yes, let's stop before more fallacies are thrust upon us.

Uhh, I had a porsche 911. I am quite familiar with their short but illustrious history. And snap oversteer.
You might try typing in "alfa romeo racing history" , even the short wiki has greater time span and variety. Heck, if you are interested in prewar, the question is which one.
Dont much matter though, the fact remains that a current alfa twin turbo tow vehicle is faster than a 70's Era porsche street car. Faster than early 21st century versions too.
I personally prefer its handling characteristics as well, but I do get the attraction kicks wise of tail heavy, which at least is preferable to fwd nose heavy. Same , uhh, concept, just the opposite end being the perpetrator.
if someone is paying you $ to drive and win championships, then then its all rather moot.
And if you just like 911's because, well thats fine as well.
Nice cars, continually improved , as their fan base revolted when they tried to replace them with a design not tied to ....

What always attracted me to Alfa’s was Tazio Nuvolari. How in the 1930’s grand prix ridicule hitler by beating the Audi union car. When time came after the race to play the Italian national anthem. Hitler’s flunkys said we don’t have the music the Italian national anthem. Tazio pulls out a phonograph and a vinyl and takes it to the podium where the microphone was. It was great humiliating hitler

By the price. I know they are not four cams four cylinder. I would say aluminum 2 liter 911 cases. 1964 and 1965 911 had aluminum cases. The following yeast went to magnesium

2 liter non-turbo, what my 69 had, 6 barrel weber.. But the whole car was no where near that price new, let alone used as mine was.
Interesting tidbit, corvair introduced their hanging out the back flat 6 in 59 (60 model year), ahead of porsche, and had their turbo version ten years before porsche.

you are correct on the corvair. Porsche design in the late 50's a similar engine as the corvair with pushrods. They decided to go back to the drawing board and come up with over head cams
