No spark

Hi all
I have all the lights working but cannot get a spark, no voltage at the coils either, an ideas please

Ignition and lights are totally independent.
Check ignition switch, kill switch and alternator coils.
CDI failure is common.

Thank you, should I have 12v at the ignition switch, I have 12v but only to the lights

Ignition switch and kill switch are only here to stop ignition.
Disconnect them and you should start the engine ( but then you cannot stop it ... ).
If engine still doesn't start, next, take a look at the alternator.

I had intermittent spark that was caused by bad grounds.

Kick stand swith. Check the wires to coils. Mine had a broken wire inside the insulator. Looked good but one coil was dead. Use an ohmeter and chack all you can for continuity. I cleaned and tightened every connection on both bikes before putting them back together
