Rekeying seat lock

Hello everyone,
The Seat lock on my RZ500 is in need of replacement, so I have purchased a new OEM lock and i want to rekey it so the original ignition keys fits. After removal of the barrel, i am unable to remove the tumblers, looks as though there is a small diameter metal rod stopping removal of the tumblers, any ideas?????

Do you have a photo? I dont remember this being hard to rekey and Im sure i didnt it on mine around a year back.

I have re-keyed quite a few of these and never seen a rod. Can you post a pic

I've zoomed in on the photo, and as you say there isn't a bar stopping the tumblers coming out (old age and dodgy eyesight) but saying that, the tumblers seem
they really don't want to come out. i have tried genty tapping the barrel, and pulling with tweasers, .I don't want to be too brutal.

No photo showed up.
If you look in at the back, There is one brass tumbler or main brass key in at the back that needs to be slid in with a small screwdriver to allow the barrel to slide out of the lock.
Its the brass key that stops the barrel popping out during regular use.

All sorted, thank you for explaining. I've changed petrol cap, seat lock and helmet lock. And now it's the one key that fits all locks and ignition. Thank you so so kuchen for everyone's help
