Re: Need explanation on clutch operations/ hook up at actuat
Evans was the first guy I met when I pulled into the annual 2stroke meet at Deals Gap in 2007. I pulled in with a twin Yamaha to a Kawa triple sponsored meet. He walked up to my window and introduced his self as Evans and I replied, well I'm John Evans. I appreciate your apology and am sure Evans wi...

Re: Ceramic clutch pusher ball- good upgrade or not?
Evans, I lost a clutch ball out of my 350 "magic bike". It went rolling across my garage floor never to be seen again. Most Ace Hardware stores in their nut and bolt area has a selection of hardened steel balls. You can pick one up there. While yore at it get two:-) I finally got around to...

Re: Engine failure pics- probable causes?
Chuck machined the heads for my Daytona, bored the cylinders, and did a little port work. I have not assembled them yet. I've been waiting on some 70 degre days do I can paint them. We will have to get the bikes together for Chuck at the the Gap this year.

400 heads should have A1A cast into the bottom side of the head. Look close at the raised area in this picture.

Re: RZ 350 Hooligan Build
Way to go getting your pilot's license. My brother manages the Heber Springs airport and does flight instructions there. He taught me how to fly in 1980 right after he got his instructor rating. He taught my son how to fly a few years ago.

Re: Engine RPM at 60 MPH
Small aside: Neither the Speedometer Nor the Tachometers have history of being accurate... far from it :-) Even when Brand new. Speeds you can verify with a GPS. Rpms with a proven tach device. Best know what yer dealing with... before fooling with the bits. Typically 10% high. 60mph in sixth gear ...

More than likely with the engine running the flasher will work, at least that is the case with my RZ.75RD350rider wrote:Sounds like low battery voltage to me. See if they work when you start it.

Re: Help needed in Asheville NC area
Sorry that it looks like no one is near by that can help. My painter had to have my bike to get the decals straight. I had finished my part of the restore so I plumbed up an aluminum sport drink bottle for a fuel tank and threw a boat cushion across the top of the frame and rode it across town to hi...
