Now that you are getting a RZV500. You will need a RG500 or RG400. When I first got my RZV500 a member on this board said. You will need an RG500 so you can see how the RZV500 should have been done. In all seriousness the RG500 is a lot of fun.

Try going through DCA (Department of Consumers Affairs) a California State agency. Try The State of California another state agency in California. They both have web pages. Even BAR (Bureau of Automotive Repair)

I replaced the petcock on my 1990 RZ350 with an older style petcock. The simplicity of the RD400. The computer techs have a saying KISS (keep it simple and stupid) Also Carrol Shelby once said "Why fix it if ain't broken"

anything mechanical can go wrong, but chances are the mechanical petcock will be more reliable. I have several two strokes. I had issues with the RZV500 carburetors leaking fuel from the vent lines. I'm doing my RZV500 with a 1992 FZR600 front body work. The only thing I did was get the smaller RZV500 decal to incorporated into the existing side panels
