Re: RD350LC Touring Bike

I agree with you John, wish I could have gone with him. About half way thru his trip he will meet up with three other riders. Two will be riding GT750s and the third will be on a new Bonnie.

RD350LC Touring Bike

A friend left my house this morning continuing his epic tour on a LC. He plans close to 5000miles in 21 days.

Re: Elsie crank advise

I bought a complete LC crank from PJME. It has been on the road for about 1000 miles with no problems. Runs smooth and fit well.

Re: yamaha 350 lc

I would check the fuze box. The stock fuze clips lose tension or break causing problems like you describe. My bike had some of the same problems all solved when I replaced the fuze box with blade fuzes.

Looks like a very nicely restored stock 1975 RE5.

Hi Evans.
The car is a 1962 MGA 1600 MKII deluxe. The car is unique as it has 4 wheel disc brakes and is one of about 395 built. I just drove it to Louisville, KY for the all MG car show, about a 650 mile round trip for me.

Re: Affordable Japanese Piston Source

I installed Crusin Image pistons in a TDR250 a couple years ago and the bike is still running well. Since then I have installed a set in a T500 and that bike is running well. Both bike have several thousand miles on these Pistons. I went with these after reading on the TDR forum a member successfull...

Re: LC Motor Coming Together

That is a first class job you have done. I've just finished the engine rebuild on my '82 LC and it certainly doesn't look this tidy, but the engine sure runs well with a new crank, pistons, trans bearings, etc.

Re: Toomey pipes with factory airbox, jetting?

On my '84 the carbs are completely stock so a fixed needle, no adjustment. I have removed the cap over the air screws and they are adjusted 1 1/4 turns out. The air screw fiddling might help my issue but the right carb screw is almost impossible to reach.

Actually I have owned a GT750, and have seen several others, that had around 100k miles without any major engine work. Not a performance machine for sure, but durable if cared for.

Re: Toomey pipes with factory airbox, jetting?

My '84 is set up as recommended by Questo except I didn't skim the head. The bike runs fine, my only issue is a bit of a flat spot around 5k rpm.

Re: RZ250RR Top Clamp on RZ350 US Model?

I just replaced the top clamp on a '87 RZ350 with one off an US model RZ. I suspect you could do the opposite and install a top clamp from a later RZ on the US model.

Re: 15th Annual Eastern 2 Stroke Meet at Deal's Gap- SE USA

Could you tell me about? This is a two stroke event centered at Deal's Gap Resort. The entire hotel is reserved for the week by 2-stroke folks with many more attendees reserving rooms in the surrounding area. It is largely an unstructured event with no registration fee. Generally Kawasaki, Yamaha a...
