FYI Airtech is " out of Business"
That's a lot of people on this forum and the 500 have used Air tech body work for decades they are out of business and they are no longer taking orders for manufacture. This is kind of a big blow for vintage motorcycles as they are the only company in the world that makes such a vast array for so ma...

Re: Any high mileage RZ’s out there ?
I e combined about 100,000 + miles on RZs. I've owned & ridden 3.and have a long term project #4. I've NEVER had in break, or stop running. Never a decrease in performance..theve been bullet proof...like Teflon reliable and durable. I honestly think ..few people abuse or ride a RZ as hard as I d...

Re: Piston meltdown... again
The 2 layer gasket compromises the gasket sealing ability a lot... and 3 bond is a no no for head gaskets. You are much better off using the stock 3 layer head gasket and machine your head for required squish and volume accordingly.... Or just accept a slightly larger squish clearance and live with...

Heya.. been there done that. Here's my recommendation. https://hvccycle.net/yamaha-rz350-performance-exhaust-rz350-exspansion-chambers-hvcpprz350/ HVC Pipes, these are Tommy Crawford designed pipes. His RD/RZ & Gamma pipes offered exceptional low-end Street characteristics while still allowing g...

I'm not sure, Hes been doing RDs since 76 and other bikes since the late 60s. If anyone deserved to retire it's Gary.
But these are also his life's passion
His contact info, has always been erratic
Good luck

Re: +10mm crank data
Should be interesting w a YPVS system, can't say I've ever views one. As it's all been about Cheetah or Serval heads You can source new Banshee cases for about $6-$700.00. A Crankworks balanced billet 10mm crank for about $1500.00 With ported 10 mm Servals/Cheetahs easily putting out 80-100 h.p. Ver...

Re: RZ350 running to lean with new jet kit, stalls
Yep that jet kit should pretty much be "Johnny on the spot " , as you buy it off the shelf, and @2500' really should still be just fine.? Usual carb stuff, recheck everything, clean everything, wire out all ports/tubes. Float bowl height is also critical..double check it. Make sure your ( ...

Re: Hard starting RZ350
If it ran great for a few months and then started running bad, I don't think it's your float bowls being reversed? But sometimes.. Ya Neva know. May as well check it. I'd give it a complete carb clean...every detail. And a fresh set of plugs. Then I'd check all the electrical system components for a...

Pretty good score right there. Nice gloves. It's odd how tough gloves can be to fit well, it's one of those things it's really hard to buy online. I have to try on many pairs and while I don't consider myself extra large I'm 6 ft 195 lbs I find myself buying gloves that are 2- 3XL sometimes what you...

Re: +7mm Crank OEM Cylinder Porting
Just last year I stopped by his shop and discussed some RZ builds and I specifically asked about the 7 mm stroker with a YPVS head assembly, and he said he does not use them he uses the Athena heads which have no power valves.? He said the Athena too end head delivers more power, which it does....b...
