Well, it's hard to capture measurements of such a 3d object, but I used two rules with the smaller at the approximate centerline of the fuel straw. The petcock and grommet for the bodywork is just under 2in rearward of where the side panel wants it. See my older pictures for reference. I'm hoping so...

What angle do you want? This thread has the misalignment from every angle I can think of. Total pic of the tank is in the first post if you want that.
