Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Yes, the world of drag racing is very exciting! I have devoted a lot of time to it, and I hope to continue. So far my best 60f is 1.52. This is a Suzuki GSXR 750 srad 98, with a standard engine, but it is lowered as much as possible, and the base is extended by about 10cm. And what is important, thi...

Re: Drag Bike - Plan B

Judging by the photo of the motorcycle on the previous pages, you need to reduce the clearance, which will have a very positive effect on the starts. 2 seconds for 60f is pretty slow, at least by sportbike standards.

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Thank you! As for the frame color, I'm not sure whether to leave it like that or repaint it in the standard color. By the way, did anyone deal with a Chinese copy of the fairings? How good are they? https://aliexpress.ru/item/1005005010734657.html?spm=a2g2w.cart.0.0.24e14aa6veglWY&sku_id=1200003...

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Maybe someone will be interested, I made a video about this motorcycle. True, it is in Russian, but the subtitles should work. :smt002

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Martin, thanks for the info! Yes, I think programmable ignition is what I'll be using. In any case, I do not have any now, and I will have to buy. It's not that I avoid saying where I'm from. I have added this information in my profile description. I just thought that now people have different opini...

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Thanks for the detailed answer, you give a lot of useful information! I read your articles, they were really helpful, sorry the site is no longer working. Actually, at the moment I'm interested in the config that Wicked uses on his bikes. This is a +5 mm crankshaft (is it possible to use it on a sta...

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

I also had a question, if I look for cylinders and head for 350, is there any difference between cylinders 29k, 31k, 1UA, 48H? Which of them would be preferred?

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

29k is written on two carburetors, and 29l on the second pair, apparently these are sets from 350 and 250. The only relatively cheap way to get this bike to ride is to build a 250 engine. But as you mention above, I will most likely still need to buy new pistons and bore cylinders, and may also need...

Re: Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Thanks for the detailed answer. As for the carburetors, I have 3 sets of mikuni, it looks like they are standard carburetors, although my measurements showed that they have a cone diameter of 27mm, not 26. I can buy other carburetors, for example smart carb 28. I even had thoughts about efi. I have ...

Pasis Yamaha RZ 350 YPVS

Hi all! My name is Alexander, and I recently fulfilled my dream which is already 20 years old!). By a miraculous coincidence, I managed to buy a Yamaha rz 350 83-84 + donor rz 250r. These motorcycles from the Japanese market came to our country, as I understand it, about 20 years ago. Around the sam...

Re: SmartCarb 28mm billet carbs

Hi! I understand that the topic is somewhat outdated, but are there any results with these carburetors on the RZ engine? I recently purchased a smart carb 36 for my Sherco 300 2t and will be installing it and doing a comparison on my dynamometer in the coming days if you are interested I can share t...
