Re: It's still fast by modern standards!
Riding my LC reminds me of why I started riding in the first place. The pure joy of a basic motorcycle, fast enough to be fun and flawed enough to be scary. Packed with personality, the RD/RZ is an experience so unlike any modern motorcycle, they are a bike you build a relationship with and just ca...

Re: Any one have any info on these pipes?
I had aquired a set of stock 86+ rz exhaust that had the silencer cut down and re-welded.
It look a lot like the one pictured.

Re: Powervalve question
Hey silverstrom! Yes, it's the engine I scored from you! I swapped out the other rz engine in the gamma about a season and a half ago. It's due for at least a top end and I wanted to run this engine so the crank got some run time. Have wanted to send Nick @ twostrokelabs a controller for some time. ...

Re: Powervalve question
Thanks tacky1!
I've seen a manual powervalve control cover - that would definitely make adjusting the valve much easier.
I will probably adjust the vave so that the power comes in a bit earlier.
The 250 gamma goes much better with the rz engine too!

Re: Powervalve question
Ok, had a bit of time last night - so set the powervalve to open using the ignition and then pulled the powervalve fuse. Headed for my favourite set of nearby roads to flog it a bit. First impression - I LIKE IT!!! Here's my take on it : It's bit flat from 5k to 7.5k rpm, but not as bad as I expecte...

Both of you have high standards... so not sure you'd like to swing a leg over the ugly bike

Re: Powervalve question
I upgraded my fusebox to a more modern blade one that has room for a few more fuses.
Should be easy enough to just to pull the powervalve fuse and test.
Expecting rain today and tommorw... but Sunday should be good to go for a test.

I like the MityVac test.
I'll have to try that the next time I rebuild a petcock.

Re: Powervalve question
Thanks for the info guys! Guess first step is to give it a try with fuse pulled as RuZty suggests. Seems the easiest route. If I do decide to run it this way till the end of the season, then I'll pin the hole. I've always been curious of the lc350 and have read that the power delivery is a bit more ...

Powervalve question
Riding season is almost done here. Looks like the powervalve coupler isn't locking the two powervalves together and there is some play on the right side powervalve that I can move by hand. Before I fix this, just for giggles, I'd like to try and run the bike with the powervalves locked open. What's ...
