Re: Restoring old hard rubber motorcycle bits

Waited a week. Placed the manifolds in a sealing $1.50 tupperware container with three 100ml pure wintergreen oil ($8 each) mixed with 989ml of isopropyl($1.50) vs. aftermarket 26mm ($50-70) replacements from to Amazon.ca. The manifolds turned from stone to almost being able to pinch the carb inlet ...

Re: KR RZ at Mecum Vegas (sold)

Was comfortably entertained by UK/Japan pricing on RD/RZ's vs the affordable values here in North America - especially in Canada. Thought the value bubble would have burst, at least in North America, to help with current rising insurance costs - nope. Hagarty not an option (wish it was). Can buy vin...

Re: Restoring old hard rubber motorcycle bits

Well just order 100mm of wintergreen. Not cheap but cheaper than OEM manifolds. They are petrified. Was wondering if annealing the the rubber, by boiling as in the 1st vid, is necessary. Apart from possibly cleansing each bit, I don't see the advantage. This other vid did not bother with annealing; ...

Temp gauge sensor RZ vs. LC

Does anyone know if the RZ brass thermostat fits the RD? Learnt, from the LC Crazy form fans, they replace LC temp gauge sensor with an early 90's Range Rover ones. I discovered Landie parts are not cheap here in Canada - no surprise there. The length/thread pitch appears to be the same from images a...

Fast from the Past - tip of the hat...

Jim Hinshaw, being a vendor of a/n'd company, deserves a shout out for service rendered. Here's why. Contacted Fast from the Past because an Canadian company failed to get back to me after contacting them 3 times sadly. Ordered two zeeltronic cdi's.They arrived approximately a week after Boxing day....

Re: 2022 TZ racing

Rob if you can post your tower vids pls do. Checking Adam's Ducati vid, it appears he works at a bike shop. Was last at AMP back in 2013 - fun track. Believe Gilles Villeneuve still holds the track record at AMP. Be fun to attend a Manx race however.

Re: Identify flywheel

Checked my spare RDLC flywheel and noted the only different #s were the middle four stampings. Mine is 0 1B X. The first 9 and last 5 alpha-numerics are identical. If trying to id it for a LC build, I think it would be safe to say both are from an LC & a keeper.
