Just want to appreciate the effort/commitment in authoring this literal trials and tribulations race blog. It gave me insight into how refined racing, abit in a straight line, can be via two stroke bike. Also enjoyed the RZ blowing away the Victory drag vid. Showed it to my biker buds and they joked...

Congrats on the win. Must have been pleased with the launch. Nice to see blue sky and not wildfire smoke - good day for racing it appears.

Used sunshine on the tires - good tip. Utilized the drop centre and soap spray vid idea and it worked out. But had to use a 3rd tire iron, to snap the Avon tire bead over the rims, so the tire wouldn't pinch the tube. 1st time doing m/c tire installs so pleased it worked out.

Tire irons $24. Pail free. Followed the above noted video mentioned above. Installation in done in 20 mins. Easy n' cheap for those interested.

Just purchased a set of Avons and thought possibly I could put them on the rims myself. Came across this vid (appears a Elsie 250 rim is used). Using irons instead of spoons. Cut up a ice cream container for rim guards. Balancing next.

I erred. I was quoting vintage not collector plate status - around $200. However, collector plates will not allow you to use it for work or school travel. Then you have to add on comp/collision and theft fees here in BC (not all of Canada). Oddly BC government runs the auto insurance here; ergo has ...
