Usually you put the stamped side in, so nothing gets scraped off.

Did not know it has plastic insert or that the two sides were different. Only one side in the pic.
Bearings with sizes stamped or printed on one side should always be protected from external buggering, as should shims. Keep the stamped side off of lobes.
