Re: Rebore
Nope.
Bought +2.5 Woessner as the last common size and it wasn't enough to compensate the old bore misalignment.
So I got +3.25 Woessners for Banshee big bore kits and the were sufficient. As I said it was a very tight fit and took a skilled mechanic to do the bore/hone job.
Btw: still have the unused +2.5 set of Woessners for sale. Make a sensible offer and they can be yours soon

Re: Rebore
US chrome can plate steel bores. Its a bit expensive but not really. My racing 50 lasted 10 years of 13,000+ rpm before the bore became too oval to make full power again.
First crowd who did it plating fell off. Its not as easy as plating ally.

They rang today to say my barrels were done at 1.75mm rebore
So that's 3 rebore sizes up from when I first took my barrels in to be done
Out of interest . what CC are my barrels now ?

Looking at some 400cc (392cc) Banshee type barrels and was looking at the Athena top end kit but was told the quality isn't great
Anyone had one of these kits ?
Other folks mentioned "Serval" but I know nothing about these so if anyone could shed some light on this please ?

Re: Rebore
What are these "bungs" that have to go in the cylinders to make water tight ?
Are they problematic ?
Did you keep the pistons that came with the kit and what did you do about the wrong positioned coolant pipe on the Athena head ?

Re: Rebore
Finally got the barrels back today with the fresh bore and 1.75mm pistons !
Looking at the remaining liner, there is about a 2mm thickness left , if that is even, I suspect not
