When I had the 230 mains in the carbs I removed the snokle to see if it would improve performance - bogged out even more on acceleration. Albeit that was when I had a leak (now sealed) between the carb reed seals and blocks. I'll open up the air box and see what happens.

Taking the bike out for a ride, noted an issue of stumbling between 3-6000 rpm. I realize that RD's dip in power b4 the power band hits momentarily. My bike has a dip/stumble that appears elongated. Found this execellent vid on carbs that makes me think needle adjustment (drop 1 notch) might be the 1st process of elimination for the carb adjustment because the very dark plugs indicate a rich burn. Bare b4 I remove the air filter cover, should I consider adjusting the air screw 1st? Here's the link to the vid:

Also has anyone used a Gusson Colortune kit to a two stroke as apposed to plug chop?

Heres a link for NKG study chart for plug diagnostics I found useful:

Hopefully I can figure this out b4 riding season concludes.

Do any/ all testing warmed up to running temp or your shooting ducks.
Are you running Banshee carbs or OE ones? Cuz Banshee carbs are the way to go for premix
Pilot jet is correct if you're about 1.5 -2 turns out and carbs are synced
25 might be better than 27.5. Throttle response should be crisp.
Slightly rich helps w/ the starting and 1st 1/4 throttle.
To test if mains are right
hold full throttle in 5/6th gear
back off throttle slightly
if it picks up rpm/ speed it's just a hair lean. then go back up 1 jet size.
I'd go 50:1 on premix, though that does fatten it up a hair from 40:1
I heart Interceptor oil and so do my snomo's and chainsaws.
