Hi , not been here for some time . On all the engines I have rebuilt /2 stroke ,I chamfer the bottom edge of the pistons off to help stop the sharp edge scraping the oil off . Works for me.

MK, have you got any pictures of your racebike you can upload or a link to a build thread?
Looks like an interesting bike from the photo of you in action on one of the other threads that you posted.

Well there is no explicit build thread.
It's just been used and optimized over the years. (And never been cleaned :-) )

Well time you started one!..;)
My bikes rarely get cleaned either. The crud on the BST wheel on the back of my SV just has my friends shaking their heads in disgust.
The mismatched wheels and R6 forks and general purposefull tardiness is just something I get so more pics please.

And on subject I put little oil dimples on some Wossners in a 421 Athena with a ball shaped 1/8 carbide bur. If there isn't any sharp edges to create a stress raiser then I can't see it doing any harm.

Thanks MK, interesting airbox and RGV carbs? The steering head angle looks quite steep. Has the frame been de-raked or is it an optical illusion?
Good choice of forks. 41mm Kayaba R6 forks? Have you done anything to the valving?
Also why the spoked rear rim? Was it just something you had lying around or is there a performance advantage?
Did you make the fuel tank?

Part of the reason I'm quite interested in this bike is that the only race tracks close enough to me are kart tracks. I have an Aprillia rs125 which I'm converting to kart track use.
The mods/ specifications for this type of track use are a bit different to fast road race tracks.

What type of bikes do the competition run and how does
your RZ compare? My main competition will be RS125 Honda's and CBR250rr's.
