Hi
Is it possible to take the sprocket seal out and insert a new one?
I have made a tool for insertion of the new seal.

Yes however take care not to scratch/gouge the spacer. Remove it before seal removal. I use a seal puller like this. I use a small hammer to tap it into the seal for removal.

I have had some successful drilling a small hole in the face of the seal and screwing in a fine self tapping screw, then using vice grips to pull on the screw which then pulls out the old seal.

... and put the screw as close to the outside as possible... and when you drill it put a dab of grease on the drill to catch the filings.
Now, why was that seal leaking? Are you leaking crankcase pressure into the trans?
