Glyn (Slinger)

#1 Post by DRC » Thu Apr 05, 2018 11:57 pm

Has anyone heard from Glyn recently.

I sent him a set of barrels for a cleanup and to get a set of pipes made but I haven't been able to get in touch with him which is very unusual.

Does anyone have a phone number they could PM?

Thanks

If its the Glyn from GPL Racing, I tried to get a hold of him at a marine shop he was working at the ph number connected there Mar 3rd. Learnt the shop was no longer in business. Redline Junkie might have an update.

Sure hope he's doing okay.

Maybe he's doing really well and doesn't want to do this kind of work anymore. :smt003

Just noticed his last post was almost a year ago.

So sad. His steel pipes and fabrication in general were fabulous.

That was the gist of a post he made a while back I felt, but Glynn is a good guy and would help us out etc.

I also hope he's ok.

He was so helpful in the past. I do hope it’s nothing health related. That would be terrible

He did say he was doing a run of stroker pipes in the winter this year and he said it wouldn’t be an issue to do a set.

I might take a spin by his place on the bike when the weather warms up, he lives less then an hour from me.

I last spoke with him at Christmas. He did mention some family issues so here's to hoping they cleared up. Redline Junkie please do let us know what you find. I don't wanna bug him if things are difficult.

He had a Facebook page for his Marine business in the past, not sure if it is still active? I will update all with anything I can find out without being a pain in the ass to him.

Part of his leaving the RZ world last year was at least claimed due to a Calgary member that bought a number of LC heads and caused him issues...

Bought alot off Glyn & never a problem. Even offering help years after, good guy i too hope he is ok.
I do know his mrs was having some health issues without that sounding too clinical or disrespectful.

Oh No. I hope everything works out. Thoughts, prayers and best wishes to him and his wife.

Still trying to get hold of him but assuming now that he has other things on his plate at the moment, who in North America would be the best person to contact about a set of pipes for a 385 Stroker. It's for a track only bike so I'd prefer function over form. I just have to somehow get my barrels back but I'll definitely pay him for the time he has put in already.

If I had a phone number for Glyn, I would be happy to call. (I tried searching, but couldn't find it.)

I don't need anything from him.

Just would be calling as a friend to wish him well.

Managed to get in touch through email.

It sounds like he has just been extremely busy with a number of Marine projects. I think the winter just got away from him, but I got a lead on a couple of other pipe guys.

I’m glad he is OK. He Tuned 2 race 350 motors for me that were extremely competitive, even running against FZR 400’s and Hawks, and answered all my dumb questions even months later. He’s one of the best
