Are these Denco pipes?

#1 Post by AMDshaner » Thu Sep 20, 2018 6:25 pm

Just wondering if anyone can say that these are Denco pipes or not. They look like them to me, I had a set on a Kawi H1 500. A friend also has a set now on a Kawi H2 triple.
I dont see any markings on the pipes at all.

Thanks
Shane.

Over 100 views and nobody has any opinions? Was doin some googling last night and looks like they could be Spec II pipes. Never heard of them.. Are they good for a stock engine?

They don't look like Spec II to me, and I have a pair in my garage. Spec II made great pipes for racing, perhaps a bit peaky for the street depending upon the kind of riding you do. Sorry I can't offer an opinion of the pipes you have. Maybe a better picture of the cans would help.

The upward bend at the back makes me think j&r also. We have a 2 part set (uses stock head pipe) on the 350B A/C w/ the upward bend. Got a picture of the back and the perforated core? When I pulled the core out of the old J&R's it had very small perforated holes, if i remember correctly. I modified a set when the core went bad (rust rot) and had machined a toomey T-5 tip end? and core (bigger holes) to fit.

Watch it be some weird set out of San Jose / CA dating back a couple decades! All our J&R's were two part that we have, so it might be something else. The belly section has me wondering too. Period dencos I saw in the 70s / 80s were skinny in the belly too. Great sound. A sound file might help. Very distinct on a kawasaki triple. Nothing like it.

Good luck!
