It's nice to see a guy ride in the rain and still ride it hard. You need pipes though. Stock really sucks.

Re: "Ride in the rain"
I grew up in Vancouver. I have ridden and raced in the rain more than I would like to.
Bunch of years ago was tooling down the highway with my wife on the back and the in-laws trailing behind on their big Kawasaki. It was a long straight boring section so we were nudging 100 mph when we ran straight into a nasty rain squall. Having raced in the rain it never occurred to me to slow down jet cause there was water falling from the sky.
At the next fuel stop my FIL, with eyes as big as saucers, admitted that was the fastest he had ever gone in the rain and he had been half terrified by it. I felt bad and apologized profusely but inside had a quiet chuckle. There ain't nothing like running 150+ mph on a wet track to beat all semblance of fear out of you.

Re: "Ride in the rain"
Couple of years ago I raced a supermoto in a fricken monsoon with massive standing water all over the track. A Supermoto on rains is nothing short of amazing to ride in absolutely nasty conditions. We got totally soaked but it was the one and only time I actually had fun racing in the rain. It didn't hurt that I took a trophy home that day. :)

Re: "Ride in the rain"
Modern tyres shrug off rain like its dry, you can carve the corners at the same crazy angles as you can in the dry, I found that out on a 1-1 track day school event back in the uk years back. I was blow away by what i could get away with. An amazing experience.

Re: "Ride in the rain"
This was the day I mentioned. Check out the amount of water being thrown off the tires. These puddles were several inches deep. They were OK as long as you missed the steel drain cover. Hitting THAT was not fun.

Re: "Ride in the rain"
i had enough rain ridding in the UK for 30 years,
now even if a 20% chance of rain i leave it parked.
but plenty of nice sunny days here in Texas.
