#1 Post by sw.framing » Sun Oct 16, 2016 7:23 pm

I am thinking of putting this up for sale next month. Trying to get a good idea of a price point. It is in great running condition.

That OEM luggage rack would be worth a good price to the right person if you separated it.

Without providing essentially any info. it is entirely a crapshoot and I wouldn't be willing to provide any advice if you won't even write out a bit of information about the bike...Check eBay SOLD listings for high end pricing.

I'm in Califorina, & sold a Y/B bike 6 mo ago for 7k it had orig milage. No restoration bought it for $2800.00 spent 2 weeks cleaning polishing and paint touch up everywhere. I would truthfully rate it at a 6 out if 10. Did nothing but clean it, it needed attention to the Left (orig) catalytic converter pipe running extreamly hot, it was NOT a bike you could just get on & ride.

It was on E-BAY and beleive it it not the guy flew out from the east coast to buy it.
Nothing was hidden showed 20 photos and was honest about everything asked.

Completley original bikes w original pipes sell for more $, but a enthusiast will be lucky to grab a bike w a set of original Toomeys..the best pipe for resale no question. Here in the States Toomeys are forever linked with RZ350s its the pipe of choice for collectibles (after orig) pipes of course. But the 13h.p. increase in power the Toomeys provide will totally sway a buyer intrested in performance such as myself.

Look like a clean bike you have there. Is it as clean as the photos..no rust, no pitting good paint & plastics??? If so, thats better for you.

My advice is to list it on E-Bay..its the best option for exposure and brings the highest price most of the time.

Obviouslly take advantage of free advertising such as Craiglist and forums like this one, but I wouldnt expect many serious offers from any forums...not at all. People tend to be cheapskates and want it for silly $. Also you can avoid the internet forum flakes, that eitber dream wkth your time and money or keep you in limbo " like there doing you such a huge favor?":smt011

Again E-Bay! Just sold a GSXR 750RR fuel tank for 3k..Likley never would have happened trying to sell it locally. Buyer also picked it up while traveling from New York for buissness.

If its really clean ( cleaner than the pictures w good un- cracked body work) Then you should not consider anything less than 7 k! These old bikes are ONLY retro 2 stroke in the past 35 years that was available in the United States, if its clean clean clean and you sell it for 4k now..your going to kick yourself silly for foolishly selling it. IF YOU DONT HAVE DONT BE THE GUY WHO GETS TAKEN TO THE CLEANERS BUY A SAVY BUYER WHO KNOWS YOU NEED TO SELL IT :smt023

Heres a really nice bike, quite similar to yours.

https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/mcy/5859637619.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He's asking $12k thousand :smt002 :smt017. You never know..but this is the direction really "nice RZ350s" are headed.

I'll be honest..I'd I had a xtra 12k to drop on a clean RZ350 ..A bike like this would be in my garage..

You just have to find the indavidual..who has the 12k and WANTS a special bike & just has to have it.
