Very cool bike Petros!! :smt023 :smt023
And you can always add a little premix in your tank and make it at least smell like a 2stroke! :smt003 :smt045 :smt039

That is one tidy gpz1000 petros. now that you have a kwaka you'll have to pick up a H2. Saw one in the flesh at the Australian superbike meeting. I've never met a happier owner of a bike. said he's got the go fast bits ordered from the states to punch it out to over 250rwhp from the measley 235 it has now. Loved it the guy was older then me and was chasing more hp out of what is allready an insane bike. Go on mate take a little drive buy the kwickasfuckski dealer and see what follows you home.

2nd went for a ride with the GPZ 1000 RX last Saturday ( 1st ride on this one ) at twisty tight stuff and my friend with his
Gixxer 1000 K9 .........trying to learn its handling ,
what I found is where 30 years of technology leads motorcycles comming off my Gixxer K8 1000 , performance , brakes , handling , engine breaking ,
consumption carbs vs injection :smt005
But i had a blast with the old lady ,
with the GPZ is when you pin this bike it turns with rear wheel instead of front :smt004

Trying to learn the bike.........

Nice pics Petros, glad you keep coming around after getting away from RZ's. I like the H2 mechanically but to me it looks horrible, front fairing is '70's Vetter meets Godzilla, and the muffler is just plain ridiculous. Luckily both of these are easy to change, although not that I'll ever have that dilemma.

So today I went by my dealer to complete some pending paperwork for the new bike RSV4 rf ..........

Bad idea .......

I have for sale there my Mito 125 SP 525 with a potential buyer inerested akready as per dealer info ,
suddenly I take a look at the corner stand and I spot something strange in green color non Aprilia like bike ,
whats this , I start walk near and look at the bike which before I would have never thought it's existance
and would have never given it a second look.

Love at first sight :smt007 :smt007
Took it for a test drive and I loved it , good handling , perfect brakes , top riding position , three cylinder good midrange power

This one will go :

Nice one!. My only experience with these is the front brakes, the calipers work very well on my RZ. I bet it sounds great.

:smt023 braking feeling was found outstanding front calibers 4 piston and rear 2 piston from test ride I did.
Also what I liked about this bike is the feeling of the three cylinder performance on that midrange and sound :smt004 awsome.
The gear box is superb , specially of you compare it to my GPZ ......
It is a very particular bike ( collectable Triumph from the modern era ) and thats what I'm after once I've come over it
200 Centennial edition units only came out to production.
Does a superb job of filling a segment and a sportbike that can also be used as a daily rider and medium distance touring machine.
No doubts that this bike will become an important piece of the reborn Triumphs legacy and a future classic.

Soon ( after August vacation ) I will upload a video of the bike and maybe riding too
once it's delivered to me from dealer.

PS > ofcourse when this bike was brought into production from Triumph at the time
British wanted to compete with the liter Japanese super bikes at the time ,
the Daytona still wasn't as light and agile , it was certainly a big step forward.
Also cost of this bike was exensive from competition.
In general this bike is just a good old road bike.
Engine was made between cooperation Triumph & Cosworth which offers a good reliability too.

Those bikes SOUND utterly wonderful. Ive heard a few with custom pipes & they are awesome. Id hack & chop it up cafe style...lol
Sometimes its nice to have a bike, that you " feel connected" with and delivers power in a real & useable range.
Rhat Aston Martin green is a Beautiful color too!
I'd keep the stock wheels & exhuast in the garage for safe keeping and buy some Gold forged PVM style wheels and a pipe..That would be perfect! or at least metallic lowdercoat the stock rims gold...lol. But that me...lol
Enjoy!

I nearly bought one of the 955i's when they came out, I also loved the test ride but instead bought an R1 as it was smaller and lighter, but I agree the Trumpet was a wonderful ride. Nice modern classic Petros!

Cheers Jon :smt023
Expected you would comment on the Trumpet , All I can say is this bike has an English stamp on it specially that green color and I really dig it.
Will put the Aprilia aside and ride this one for some period to put some milleage on her clock.

Will keep her stock all the way :smt002
Remember only 200 of these came out of production so with in some time maybe
(10 - 15 years) will become a Triumph classic.

The later Daytona in the Triple 675 format when they finally hit their stride is an amazing bike. The riding position is amazing comfortable given the ergos. I get bored with the old Brits that tell me about their old 60's bikes when they hear I ride a Triumph...its not the same bike! And before any complaints about the Indonesians building them, mine was actually built in Britian...
