Added spoiler to the title :smt008 [smilie=girl_haha.gif] , as if any motorcycle race fan on the planet didn't already know this from last month, just in case. It was great to see, thanks to the internet. Too bad there wasn't and televised coverage, or on his website people all over the world were chomping at he bit last July for this to happen. Here is a link to the superbike planet/Kevin Schwantz recap of his triumphant podium at Suzuka, he details a lot of the behind the scenes happenings and you just have to respect the guy, Well over two decades since his inaugural GP race victory in Suzuka, he gets back on a bike, with two fantastic team mates , Haga And Kayga' legends and crowd favorites as well and they all put it on the box. Then at the same time doing events in England and Laguna. Hats off to him, very few people can come back and ride at the level required from modern machinery, especially with such bodily damage sustained in their short careers. I personally got to see him race a RZ350,and the Yoshimura GSXRs, then watch all his Laguna Seca apperances, even then he was a BIG crowd favorite, people really were adorned by his hog wild riding style. The 80s,early 90s poster boy for , win it or bin it :smt023 If Suzuki had only invested more money into their racing program, they could have had a multi time champion in Kevin Schwantz.
Hell can you imagine being on the stage of arguably the biggest, most important race in the world for Japanese manufactures..at AGE 50!! " old geezer" in anyone's book :smt005 vs some of the most talented fastest riders in the world today ..and then guess what!...even just finishing standing upright, would have been awesome.

Rossi and Crutchlow were rumored to have been teamed up for Suzuka, Schwantz is Rossis idol, that would have been totally cool to see as well. But it didn't happen? Rossi may have learned about his entry and said,,,no way I'm going to take any of Kevin's spotlight away...that guys my hero..Im a gonna pass, maybe I too will try to race at Kevins age in the year... 2031!
