so about a month ago we had our second round at shannonville motorsports park. my rz was looking pretty with its new clothes and i was feeling good about my chances on the small nelson configuration.
Given my fairly crappy starting positions on the saturday being gridded pretty much right at the back i was going to have my work cut out to get a decent finish to get good grid spots for the final on sunday.
i signed up for three classes this time P4 f3, f2, and f1.
saturday finishes were as followes
f3- 6th of 22riders
f2- 10th of 29riders
f1- 10th of 26riders
sooo i managed to make up a lot of spots and get decent start spots on the 2nd and 3rd rows.
sunday came round and in the morning practice a fellow 2-stroker by the name of Bill McKean riding his rd350lc had a massive off in corner 1 and was taken to hospital. i dont know too many details but he ended up succumbing to his injuries later that week. A sad turnout indeed.
anyhow.
after a very long delay with no one knowing the condition of bill it was announced that racing was to start at 1:00.
I switched my tire warmers on and geared up; I was on track 20 min later. after the warmup i lined up in my spot in the middle of the second row. the flag dropped and into the fist corner i was in 6th or 7th i passed a guy in the 2nd corner and just coming out of corner 4 I half-assed high-sided and slammed back down on my left shoulder. I have a video ill post as soon as i get it edited and posted to the youtube.
the off broke my left collarbone and 2 bones in my right hand. (thus why it took so long for me to post anything up about the weekend)
