I don't think it's the same incident. The local Ozzie mag ran a story about that meeting and never mentioned a broken leg. I think the guy with the number one plate is the current AMA oval track champion who beat Marquez in the final.
And I think it cost Pedrosa a stack of fifties (US dollars of course) equal to his height........so not that much really!

Doesn't matter who Pedrosa pays off, he ain't gonna win the championship. Jorge and Rossi will be there to ensure he doesn't.
