Motogp SPOILER!

Re: Motogp SPOILER!
The problem with Qatar is both the layout and the sand on the track. It is just not a great track. Trust me that was a great race for that track. I am hopeful for a very good season ahead.

One thing that caught my interest was Marquez's choice of tires, the hard compound, I didn't hear of anyone else running them. If this was anything like F1/Indycar then Marquez truly is awesome as soft compound tires give such a huge advantage, of course at the cost of making them last.

Re: Motogp SPOILER!
Marquez's riding style heats a tire up so the hard choice is the right one for him. He as well as the Honda are both hard on tires and the hard will tolerate the heat that much better.
I never understood how Gary McCoy could slide around like he did on a soft compound. His tires looked so much better than everyone elses at the end of the race.

Yes it was a good race for Qatar but that doesn't make it okay lol. I don't know much about the course but it looks awesome, they just make a big mistake building it in a desert. Perhaps with all that oil money they can Astroturf the desert lol.
Can't believe Jorge is soooo good at start's, it makes me yell out loud every time i see him do it. You can pretty much bet on him getting the start and holding the lead for a while anyhow. Good stuff, if all those guys had not fallen it would have been a hoot for sure, but then how well would Rossi have done, fith or sixth?

Re: Motogp SPOILER!
I watched the race a few more times and it WAS quite good but still....this is the premiere two wheeled show, the biggest and the best in the world....it should be better. I am not educated enough to say weather the powers that be are doing a good job at making it better, because I don not understand all the political and financial implications. I am sure that there are some things that make it hard to put on a good show and the rules that are in place this year have made some closer racing, so that is good.

I think the Hondas are just too fast for the Yam. Seems like they were holding back the mapping on Dani's bike until close to the end. Then they shoot him a coded message on the pit board to switch (ya think??) and he can pass Lorenzo and almost pass Rossi. They were a little late to get second though.

Re: Motogp SPOILER!
i think average member age is roughly pretty much 40-50... going on our child hood wishes... eg rz350 1983 onwards... if you were 18...... i was 13 (1983) and had a large group of neighbours... all within 7 years age... me being youngest.... all older kids had road bikes while i was still running my yz80 k.... so that is why i have my attraction to rz... also a fan of kr 250... had one as a learner rider...
offfffff topicccccc.... sorry...
great result at jerez.... not so good racing... parade laps...
i go to local (1400 km away) motogp every year... not really for racing but a social gathering..... for past 13 or more years.... plus a few early 2 stroke only meets... possibly 1995 ??
i agree... it is becoming a little toooooo controlled and scaletrics like... wasnt marquez sponsored (moto2) by scaletrics..... too funny
