How do you think the racing would be if the bikes were closer in spec? It seems every couple years Yamaha and Honda swap with who has the dominant bike and run away for most of the season.
With the NASCRAP like rules coming in the near future will the racing get better or become even more boring that it is now? I consider myself a real race fan and find myself dozing during some MotoGP racing. Cannot say that about the Moto3 stuff though. So maybe slow great handling turds is he way to go. Seems that the electronic shit is what wins the race now 'cause no one can really use the huge power w/o some help.
Been watching SBK 'cause I have better TV now including BeIN network. A bit better than MotoGP. Even in SX and MX the support classes seem to deliver consistently better racing nowdays.

There is only one difference between a madman and me. The madman thinks he is sane. I know I am mad.

Look at what Moto2 was like the first few years. Fricken CRAZY! I suspect that more "spec" racing will actually produce closer racing. Don't know if the factories would go along with it though.

According to my sources Honda has always had the best package, at least since Spencer arrived. I sat around and shot the bull a couple of days ago with one of the best tuners in the 'world'. Turned an 8hr day into a 15hr day. His shop was a sight to behold. I've never seen so much 2 stroke stuff in one building. IMO it's gp, anything goes but, money has dried up for many. There's always going to be a rider that's a step above. Is it the bike?
Re: Moto GP future
I think it's the rider. Schwantz, in his early days, used to ride horrid old bikes stupid fast. I've seen others do the same. Over and over again. The riders at this level are so good, egos so big, everything has to be firing on all cylinders. The rider has to be in tune and happy with his/her ride.
I've also seen bikes in amateur ripped apart for inspection after a winning race to find the thing was so worn out it had to be rebuilt.

I have witnessed riders win on dawgs, at the amateur level
Re: Moto GP future
I like watching MotoGP but it has been a bore lately with Marquez/Pedrosa/Honda dominating.(kind of like F1 is this year with Hamilton/Rosberg/MB). I agree Moto2/3 is alot more entertaining to watch and I can see future rule changes to the premier class to make the racing more entertaining to watch but I do not want a "spec class." Kawasaki, Suzuki and Aprillia needs to put there hats in the ring again to bring back good competition.
How about putting all the top riders from all classes on a spec bike for one race a year to crown an overall champ... Yea like that will happen.
