Moto-GP crash is UNBELIEVABLE

#1 Post by brrrappp » Mon Aug 17, 2020 9:18 pm

I saw the headline today and had to look.
This particular crash gives new meaning to a "near-death experience."

That was pure luck. A 300 pound 200 MPH missile that fate steered between them. You could run that wreck 10,000 times and never replicate that result.

MotoGP riders are stoic,to a fault. That's the first time I've ever seen Rossi look visibly shaken. He said he thought it was the shadow from the helicopter overhead.

This shot is 10 seconds into the video and shows just how close to death life can bring you. I'm no racer, but if I was, I'd be reevaluating life's priorities right about now.

Yeah I was pretty unbelievable he actually avoided (two) bike's flying through the air each one had a death sentence with it.
I think the quote in Roadracing World or another publication said
" God likes Rossi best"
that must be no lie.. he has very rarely been injured.
Only after he broke his leg so bad did he start to slow and unfortunately after the Simochelli incident along with I think it's possibly where the fun left his world ...the will to win is still there.
I still think that incident is why Casey Stoner quit racing.

The shot from Rossi's bike is unreal. I don't think you can cut it any closer. Rossi has been my favorite rider ever since he left Honda and I'd sure hate to see him badly injured at this late stage of his career. He must really love it to keep going at his age.

That wasn't just a career-ender that was a lie fender I doubt anybody would have survived hitting that bike at that speed.....in a car maybe button a motorcycle I think he would have been dead before he hit the asphalt.
The human body cannot survive most any impact at over 35-40 mph.

Said in a press release he didn't feel too comfortable nor didn't really want to come back out on the track but as he is an employee he doesn't have much of a choice he ....had to do it.....
Rossi's "The Dude"..
M. Marquez.. will likely break every record Rossi gas ever set... but like Lorenzo did Marquez just copies the actions of a young Rossi,
They don't have the personality for it there's only one dude that can act so silly and yet be so competitive.
And remember Rossi won the 2001 World Championship on a 500cc 2-stroke Honda NSR!!!! THAT'S HOW LONG HE'S BEEN RACING!

Yeah, when Rossi stopped his bike in the pits, his body language and then his expression when he took his helmet off said he'd seen his own ghost. Rossi has pretty much averaged 10 podiums a year for TWO DECADES, but I think that was a new experience for him.
