WSBK Who's Watching this year?

#1 Post by Hooligan » Sat Feb 06, 2016 8:08 pm

Ever since WSBK disappeared from TV here in Canada I have struggled to give a crap about it. There were fewer and fewer big names and no N Americans involved.

However this year looks to be quite different. MotoGP World Champ Nicky Hayden will have a chance to be the first MotoGP / WSBK World Champ ever, and as well our friend Karel Abraham has moved over to WSBK from MotoGP, so we kinda have to watch. :smt041

Video passes for both MotoGP and WSBK total nearly $250 for the year but I don't mind paying as the coverage is excellent and we actually get to see something we want to watch, unlike current TV offerings in Canada. Previously we were paying about $100 a month for Shaw cable and they didn't show anything I really wanted to watch. The mythical 500 channel universe had turned out to be 500 channels of mindless crap.

I've subscribed to MotoGP.com for a couple of years now, and I think I'll probably go for WSB too this year. Like you I stopped watching it when it went off cable, but I think the subscription includes the Supersport races and they can be awesome.

Where do you watch Supercross? We have been contemplating getting that as well.

We have to buy a specific video pass but there seem to be a bunch of choices and we aren't sure which is the way to go.
