Well, it is in the books. I know the results but will hold off until tomorrow. Threat of rain in the desert?

Zarco was the big surprise for me.

Watched qualifying for Argentina yesterday and it was raining! Marquez is on pole and Karel Abraham second on a two year old Ducati! It should be an interesting race as it is expected to be dry.

It would have been better without the crashes but weather was not an issue.

Karel on the front row was a bit of a shocker. He said he was very nervous at the start ... which I think anyone would be. If he is going to show that kind of speed he is gonna have to learn to push the big boys around a bit and not let them push him around so much.

I've said it since I met him, that he is too nice a guy for a dogfight like MotoGP. He needs to learn to ride with assholes and elbows. :smt003

That is seriously cool. Are you going to COTA this year?

Sadly no. We wanted to get out to Mugello before Vale retires but it has been a bad year for work .... as in I haven't had any. :(

This has been an interesting year so far. Vinales won the first two then crashed out At COTA where Marquez won. Rossi left with the points lead. Then at jerez Pedrosa won with Marquez second. The
Factory Yamahas couldn't do anything, Zarco did manage fifth. Today's qualifying in France has a Yamaha front row! Wtf, over. Zarco was probably most impressive, he rode 10 laps in Q1 on the same tire. His last lap was his fastest and good enough for second. He is third on the grid to Vinales and Rossi. I'm looking forward to the race, hope it doesn't rain.

Another good race today. Lots of passing and few crashes. The Italians were happy, all 3 classes were won by Italians and Ducati had 2 bikes on the podium at their home track. Nice tribute to Hayden too.

Kind of amazing race at Assen yesterday. Zarco led over the first half when Rossi passed. Zarco tried to get him back and they collided. Rossi held on, barely and Zarco dropped to fourth. Petrucci and Marquez in second and third. Zarco tried for third but Marquez held. Zarco had used up his tires and Dovisioso is in fourth and passed up to second and went after Rossi. Petrucci got back to second and Dovi had apparently used up his tires and went back to fourth. Then Crutchlow joined the party passed up to third. Marquez got him back, on the last lap. Vinales had crashed out. There was a rain threat and some, including Zarco came in for rain bikes.
I suppose I could apologize for the spoiler but it doesn't seem that anyone cares

I like reading the results here. I don't have time to follow the racing.

Well, Sachsenring wasn't as exciting as Assen but it wasn't bad. Marquez won, not a surprise but Folger in second was. The wet qualifying put the factory Yamahas back which was too bad as Vinales managed a fourth after starting eleventh. Rossi got fifth. Dovizioso wound up eighth. So there are four riders within 10 points at the halfway point of the season. Pedrosa got third Sunday and is not that far back in fifth. I think the FIM has finally found the parity they were looking for. Even KTM and Aprilla have scored points, Suzuki has been a disappointment.
