I find Bare your 1st choice appealing. Signals et al may be a challange. Would pefer flush mounted ones. Reminds me of the Dyson/Dison.

A picture or two to bump this thread...

Started like this... '81 LC350 white and blue... Total basket case, seized motor, lots missing...

Image

Finished like this, All work except the motor top end machining done by me, including paint. Decided to go with the "Marsbar" paint scheme because I like my bikes black.

Unless they're Italian... lol

Yeah, I have the original, but used a chinese aluminum radiator for a little relief from the all-black motif, not that I don't like the All Blacks (Go you Kiwi bastards) but you know what I mean. Planning to add one of Norbo's stainless radguards for a little bling. I have the original radiator and radguard if I should ever change my mind, or if some subsequent owner (unlikely I'd ever sell it with so much blood sweat and tears in it) wanted it bone stock original.

The aluminum radiator works great and keeps the bike a little cooler than the original did, and was only about $50.00 on eBay. The first one they sent was leaky, but they replaced it immediately at no charge, and had it to me in days. Second one was good to go.

Btw those head bolts you sent me last winter went into this build.

Thanks again,

Gordo

On page 2, Evan talks of the poor fitment of the AirTech fairing in the pic. That pic is of an '83-'84 RZ which it was designed for. He had a bugger of a time fitting that fairing to the F2 RZ, '86-'90. They are nothing alike. I was talking to AirTech this week. I placed my seat on an '84 and fitment is extraordinary. It's perfect. As for mounting it, drilling holes, I have not done that yet. I'm an AirTech fan. The glass is excellent.

I ran a Harris fairing on my LC for about 6 years. I loved it. Mounting brackets were light and not much weight was added. I even chopped the arms for the bubble to emulate the TZ fairings of the day. Very low, with clip ons half way between the triples.
