Re: Pro Am back fills
Would it be easier to cnc mill a mold and vacuum mold to it .
then you could offer different materials such as Carbon fiber.
anyhoo i think the main market for these is in the UK.
Good luck .

Re: Pro Am back fills
Thx. CNC milling is nice but the method were are looking at is a 10th of the cost. We're developing molds, as a plan B, to this effort. Agreed - this project is a bit of a 'fish n' chips' / 'keep calm' R&D thing.
Re: Pro Am back fills
I have a fairing and the "interior"parts if you need them for reference.
They are for a future project. So if you need to borrow them, we can make arrangements.

Practice. It will be curious to see how it works out next week if all the material shows up.

Re: Pro Am back fills
Update for those that pine for these rare parts - others disregard. So.... patiently waiting for this project to be completed. Recently the Chinese knock-off mother board fried the servos for the 3D print heads. An original proper mother board was ordered (still in the mail 4 mths apparently). The scanning is completed. Just gotta wait for replacement parts for the printer (thumbs twitelling) and now a postal strike is looming. Hmm.

Re: Pro Am back fills
Which page are the back fills? Noted the fairing on page 17 only on RD350LC Yambits site. Note Bloke your belly pan has the opening in the centre like mine (blk). Where'd you find yours?
Re: Pro Am back fills
So... the part finally came in fm China. Converted the coding to stl. (standard template library) to get things prep for printing. It'll be interesting to see how the prototype works out. Taking long enough. No more eBay bits if all works out.
Re: Pro Am back fills
So where does the "back fill" go? Whats its purpose? Do you have an installed picture?

Re: Pro Am back fills
the back fills are the black plastic shrouds in the center of the above pic.
they go around the forks in side the fairing to tidy it up.

Re: Pro Am back fills
This project is a slow burn. Finally code filled the holes.
