Saw the extra bits/pipes on sale on ebay for 16 quid - not happening. Got it for 4. If interested in 'micro-build' here's a link:

Forgot I got this. Going to get some glue while out Xmas shopping. Can't believe someone would ridiculously charge almost $200 for a model of an RD. I'd rather spend the cash on a model of a RD500 or TZ250 at a 1/3 of the cost. Going with the pearl white and blue. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Tamiya-1-12-Yama ... 465872cabd" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Almost done with the 1/12 250 suzi baby gamma model. You will have a lot of fun with this. Post pix when done. I also bought a 1/12th original katana1100 model. It also looks like a nice kit.

Sold (huh) for $199.66. If one scales up the sold price to actual size, the purchase price is 2395.92. That ratio'd up price sounds like the original purchase price circa 1981-1982.

Local Nutter hobby shop owner who builds a lot of his Kits. He's really damned good at it too (bldg models seems to be his entire Life)
He has a Tamiya LC 350 model... very well assembled, airbrushed etc.
Frankly it Looks Crap.. Something about the model itself that makes it look like a Lego toy.
I wouldn't be paying 5$ for that Tamiya kit or expecting much TBH.

The value in old model kits is when they are unassembled. People collect them and store em as they arrived it seems. Its a strange hobby really... like owning a bike and not riding it, er... I'll get me coat...
