Received this anonymous gift left at my front door fm "Santa". Curious, it was the 1st one I opened. Pleasantly surprised and won't have to go 2 ebay for parts. Santa has good taste - 2 bad it did not have the marsbar option. Probably go with the Japanese decals gold/black.

There's upgrades? Hmm... now I can finally afford a Guiliari seat or a set of Toomie's.

Nice present.

But we need to reading off the same page, the Guiliaria seat is not an upgrade. And does not belong on a Japanese bike. If Guilaria made saddle bags, some would put them on i'm sure, and then try and convince us that they are cool..

Mirrors are not correct

According to Xavier's site the model's mirrors, interestingly, are period correct. They'er almost like the RZ350R. Here's the link for you all to judge -

Tried to find another model but sadly they are discontinued just like our bikes. Toying (ya, pun intended) with the idea of creating a 'build' thread for project as new/new stock ;-)). Happy New Year to all.

I do remember seeing this "upgrade" kit on eblag.
Try searching Yamaha RD350LC Transkit For The 1/12 Tamiya Yamaha RZ350LC Motorcycle Model Kit. If no luck there id try some of the modelling forums, the kit contained the bikini fairing & a set of chambers from memory..

you could always make Microns / allspeeds, start with some spru and heat it up for the bends and whittle it for the bellys, then add silencers on after.

L.B yesterday went to the Vancouver hobby shop were the gift was fm and they didn't have a kit or extension. Ck'd Amazon - none. Just will work with what I got when time permits. Got my body work primed/painted done instead - added the bikini fairing while I was at it. The decal application vid on the body works thread is going to come in handy as that is next then clear coat. Have the Kenny Roberts yellow Dupont formula which turned out brilliant. Will share on the formula on the bodywork's thread. Getting excited. Here's the b4 and after photos of the paint job:

How did you make all the parts life sized? This really is the cheap way to get new parts!
