31K CARBS DIFFERANCES TO 4LO CARBS

Hi all, i read that the 31k carbs are an upgrade from the 4lo carbs .
how do they differ.

They look virtually the same to me.

I have 31K on my 4Y3 . A vacuum fitting for the fuel petcock on one of the 31K carb.

True but that can easily be blanked for use on an LC.

LOL looks can be deceptive.

They do have the vac fitting (easily blanked as you say, but it is a difference etc), but the rest of the removable innards are just normal parts like the 4L0 versions, if there is anything different, then its in the passageways in the body.

They do say they work well on the 4L0 cylinders and add power, but Ive never seen a before n after dyno etc.

If they are the same why would they add power to an LC?

Thats what im saying, its said that the pasageways are different... plenty of Mikunis that look the same but are different inside. you cant tell what they flow by looking.

Tried both types, with No apparent differences when riding.
Subsequently fitted PWKS and those proved a Night vs Day improvement.

but need to get the RZ motor rebuilt first and the 4LO carbs are a known quantity.
